Geraldine “Geri” Hansen of Sioux Falls, SD passed away January 13 at Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls at the age of 83. She is the daughter of Kermit and Almo (Sullivan) Schultz and was born on December 17, 1938 in Paullina. The family settled in Sanborn in 1952 and Geri graduated from Sanborn High School in 1957. Among the survivors is her brother, Mark Schultz. A celebration of life was held January 17 at the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Sheldon. Burial will be at a later date at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Sheldon.
In honor of her brother Michael Schultz, who was killed in action while serving in Vietnam, and being the recipient of his tags, the family is designating memorials to Sanborn American Legion.
Arrangements are under the care of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, Sheldon, Iowa.
