The Annual “Have a Heart Cookie Day” was held Monday for residents of Prairie View. It was deemed a great success….224 dozen cookies were brought that day.
Mr. and Mrs. Vern Norton left Saturday evening for Sioux Falls and on Sunday left by plane for Las Vegas, NV. They accompanied other area dealers on the trip won through Speed Queen sales.
The “50 Plus” new recreation club will meet here daily in the Town Hall until they are financially set up to have their own building or meeting room.
TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO

Snow is still stacked up to the roof and tree tops. The past week has brought more flurries and dense fog at times. The forecast for Tuesday was blowing and drifting snow.
The City Council has approved the Mayor’s appointment of Jack Elgersma to the Sanborn Library Board of Trustees.
Kathy Rieck is the new manager of Redwood Lounge which opened February 1.
