Joanne Anderson’s daughter, Athena, and grandson Gavin of Sioux Falls visited her recently. Wade, her son-in-law had planned to visit too, however the plane that was to return him to Sioux Falls after a work trip to Pennsylvania had mechanical problems. He made it home safely the next day. Athena hand-delivered Joanne’s invitation to the wedding of Courtney, her granddaughter, and Rhett happening in August. There was also the invitation to granddaughter Brooklyn’s graduation party in June. Gavin treated them to piano music he has learned and a demonstration of Rubik’s cube speed-solving on two different cubes. Gavin’s first try at a competition was last week in the Twin Cities. The delicious roast beef dinner was complimented by the guests.
Lee and Susie Van Tol attended church services Sunday morning at Grace Lutheran Church in Primghar. Their great-grandaughters Natalee and Lilee Miller had their First Communion. They are the daughters of Ken and Rebecca Miller of Primghar. The Van Tols were later dinner guests in the Miller home.
Marie Maranell of Carlisle spent four days last week with her mother, Wanda Schuver. Patty Maranell of Omaha spent Saturday with them. Patty and Marie are sisters-in-law.
Lee Lode visited his mother, Darleen Lode at Prairie View Manor last week.
Jim and Lori Andringa of Fairmont, MN visited his mother, Sylvia Andringa several times this past week. They were camping at Miller Park all week. Sylvia served them apple pie Sunday before they returned home
Linda Rozeboom enjoyed supper at Jay’s Restaurant Thursday with Rick Maranell, Bob Maranell, Wanda Schuver, and Marie Maranell of Carlisle.

Saturday Wade and Sherryl Tressler and eight others met at Carnival Brazilian Grill in Sioux Falls, SD. This was to celebrate Sherryl’s 65th birthday anniversary. Joining them were Marcus and Angie DeBoer of Sibley, Roger, Raelyn, Jade and Ethan Paulson, Gage Butler and Connie Brewster all of Sheldon. Good conversation and food filled the hearts and stomachs of all.
Sunday Carol Salazar and her sister, Margaret Larson of Worthington, MN attended the wedding shower for Keely Swanson at Faith Gathering Place in Rock Valley. Keely and the Salazar’s grandson Eric Salazar will be married on June 18 at The Veranda in Harrisburg, SD.
