The town has accepted the low bid submitted by Visser Bros. for the widening of E. 5th Street and placing a volleyball court in the park.
The Dummett family reunion will be held in the town park July 18 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the first white settlers in Franklin Township. The late Wm. Dummett and wife arrived in 1872.
Craig Van Kley was selected to the First Team District 15 (State of Iowa) NAIA unit and Keith Marra was placed on First Team All Tri-State Conference. Both attend Northwestern College and Orange City and are graduates of Sanborn High School.

The 25th anniversary celebration of Harv’s Electric, Inc. will be held June 14 with open house from 9-5.
Marra Chinn of Sanborn has been chosen to attend the Iowa American Legion Auxiliary Girls State to be held June 14-20….Peter Andersen has been chosen to attend Boys State on June 13-19 by the Sanborn American Legion.
