The Former Harry’s Motor Building On Highway 18 At The Intersection With O’Brien Street Is Undergoing A Renovation Project. The Interior Was Gutted, The North Wall Has Been Reinforced And Tuck Pointing Was Performed On The Brick. Last Week Rafters Were Added To The Structure, Now Owned By John M. Vander Haag. There Are No Immediate Plans For The Building.
City Workers Have Been Adding Water Mainline In The Form Of 12 Inch And 10 Inch Pipe To Help Improve The Flow Of Water From The New Water Treatment Plant. The Current Stage Of The Project Is Underway On West 2nd Street Near Sanborn Christian School. This Is A Continuation Of The Project That Began On West 1st Street Last Fall. Work On 2nd Street Was Held Up Until Sanborn Christian School Had Completed Its School Year.
At Farmers Cooperative Society’s Sanborn Location Excavation Has Been Completed And Cement Work Is Progressing For The Move Of The Current Seed Building Across The Street And To The North.
