Unity Christian collects home sweep over Hawks
War Eagle Conference co-leader Unity Christian took care of business September 27, beating Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn 3-0 at Orange City. The Knights, ranked seventh in Class 3A, won by scores of 25-13, 25-11 and 25-8.
The Hawks managed just 11 total kills with four coming from Kylee Schiphoff, three from Abby Kunzman and two from Abby Douma. Frankie Mohni had eight set assists. Abigail Otto came up with five digs and Mohni four. Elise Haack made a solo block. Schiphoff was 5-of-5 serving, Schirmer 4-of-4 with an ace and Morgan Grooters 3-of-3.
