Jeanette Raymond rolled a 655 series at Bowl Mor Lanes last Wednesday evening. Jeanette had games of 207, 212, and 236 with 30 straight fills, 17 strikes, and 13 spares, no flats or splits.
Jim Verbrugge was injured Saturday while helping his brother, Wallace fill silo. A tractor backed into him pinning him against a wagon… He was taken to the hospital where he had surgery on his left fractured leg and the right ankle was placed in a cast.
Bill Smith was helping shell corn on the Arlin Mohlenkamp farm and suddenly noticed his billfold was missing…The billfold had gone through the sheller and was found along with three $20 bills and other papers. (Helpers who found the lost items in the pile of corn husks were Marv Donkersloot, Ray Schuver, and Corwin Bootsma.)
Work began recently on a new addition to Harry’s Motor Service. ..The present building is being extended to the south.

The Giant World Pumpkin Weigh-Off was held Saturday at Sanborn City Park…The largest weighed 434 pounds from Sioux Falls… third was Fred Boer with a 219 pound pumpkin.
An open house at Cornerstone Orthodox Reformed Church will be held Friday, Oct. 17 from 3-8 p.m. All are welcome.
Joe and Vi Wolthuizen are moving to Luverne, MN to make their new home.
CROP Walkers gathered at the City Park Saturday morning to begin the annual walk to raise funds to fight world hunger. Rev. Tom Hoogendoorn and Rev. Jani Dahlin joined the youth for the walk.
