Children of the late Daniel and Verla Ginger gathered at the Pizza Ranch in Primghar for a belated Christmas on January 14. Attending were Dan and Elaine Ginger, Lefty Ginger and friend Anne, Sally and Loren Flaugh, Orville and Kathy Ginger, Burdette and Darlene Ginger, Bob and Janet Davison and Connie, Tammy and Cristy Ginger. The late Tom Ginger was also a brother of the group. Several children and grandchildren of the brothers and sisters were also in attendance.
Last Friday evening Troy Salazar of Des Moines came to visit in the parental Jose and Carol Salazar home. He came especially to attend the HMS-Rock Valley basketball game that night. Alic Salazar, the grandson of Jose and Carol, was playing on the Rock Valley Rockets team and also the make-up game on Saturday evening. Rock Valley won both games and Alic made a number of points for his team. Also visiting were grandson Eric Salazar, Jackson Roder, and Alic Salazar on Saturday afternoon. Troy returned home Sunday morning.
Linda Rozeboom drove to Omaha, NE Saturday and was an overnight guest of Paul and Shelly Rozeboom. They celebrated the Rozeboom family Christmas at their house Saturday afternoon. Other guests were Travis, Sabrena and Lochlin Rozeboom, Tyler and Sarah Rozeboom and family, Brett and Kim Weihe and family, Matthew and Emily Rozeboom and family, and Mike and Bryce Rozeboom of Sioux Falls. Sunday they enjoyed brunch together at Summer Kitchen Cafe. Linda returned home Sunday afternoon.
Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 14 and 15 Jim and Becky Suckow visited their daughter, Amy Suckow at Eden Prairie, MN.
Lois Hakeman and her mother, Sylvia Andringa drove to Sioux Falls last week Friday and enjoyed lunch with Beka Hakeman.
Larry and Fran Peelen spent the weekend in Omaha attending Show Choir Competition. Their granddaughter Hannah Meyer, daughter of Ken and Dianne Meyer of Omaha, participated in the all girls show choir. There were 50 girls in the show choir which received a first place in their division. Hannah was also an activity leader announcing each choir from Millard South by saying performers on stage. In response the members of the Show Choir quickly filled the stage. Millard South had four show choirs, their Gold on Gold choir took 4th among all the choirs. There was excitement-plus as the young people responded to the announcement of their placing. Fran and Larry spent Sunday with the Meyer family, becoming better acquainted with their future grandson-in-law. They attended church with the Meyers Sunday morning. The Peelens and Meyers played many games of cards in the afternoon. Larry and Fran returned home Monday.
