HMS bowlers pick up wins over Sioux Central
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn and Sioux Central squared off in a bowling competition January 27 at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn. The HMS boys won by over 300 pins – 2745 to 2328. The girls came out on top by an even larger margin – 1838 to 1252.
Jack Mastbergen produced the two highest games, rolling a 238 and a 225 for a 463 total. The other two game totals were 367 for Marcus Aaron, 352 for Riley Russell, 317 for Dawson Niichel, 316 for Drew Prins and 283 for Caleb Aaron. Their Baker games were 202, 183, 184, 165 and 196.
The high game for the girls was a 163 bowled by Jordan Lux. That and a 142 added up to the high two-game total of 305. Destiny Olvera was next with a 261 total, follwed by Annika Overmire with a 234, Meghan Larson with a 229, Keyanna Brower with a 226 and Lexi Croatt with a 194. The girls’ Baker games were 125, 122, 122, 89 and 118.
