One of the recent additions to the Sanborn Police Department roster is Office Rob Hegenbarth. He recently retired from Sheldon’s police department after 28 years of service. Sheldon’s loss is now Sanborn’s gain.
Hegenbarth, a native of Waterloo, has also resided in Cedar Falls along with Sheldon. He received his Associate of Arts degree in Police Science from Hawkeye Community College in Waterloo. “I was interested in police work since I was a child,” shared Hegenbarth. His family consists of wife Kristi and their three boys, Jayden age 14, Jaxon age 13 and Tommy age 11.
