Elizabeth Carney of Sanborn and Julia Veldman of Rock Valley have been selected to receive Sanford Sheldon Medical Center Scholarships. Carney is a Nursing student and Veldman is a Radiologic Technology student at NCC. The recipients were chosen because of their academic achievement and potential for success in a health-related field.
The Sanford Sheldon Medical Center Scholarship was established to encourage individuals in the area to pursue health related careers. This scholarship is awarded twice a year by the Northwest Iowa Community College Foundation and is funded by the Sanford Sheldon Medical Center. This is a $1,250 scholarship.
