Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Sanborn First Reformed

What started out as an idea, became a reality on Saturday, April 1st as First Reformed Church of Sanborn hosted their first Community Easter Egg Hunt. Through months of preparation and prayer, it was a HUGE success.
We began the morning with a fresh blanket of snow and many hands out distributing all the eggs around on the church lawn. There was a time of fellowship with coffee, juice and donuts served and a short message was shared about the true meaning of Easter and its all about that Jesus is Alive. Then we let them “loose” and many kiddos enjoyed filling their basket with a TON of eggs (which amounted to about 3600 or so).
A special thank you to Locomotion Lanes and Sanborn Park & Rec for their donations that were a part of the prizes that went to six kiddos. The drawing winners were: for ages 0-4 Makayla Swenson and Samuel Benz; for ages 5-8 Grace Nyambati and Jaxson Crisel; for ages 9-12 Ella Bleeker and Zayden Wesselink.
It truly was a blessing to share this event with those in our community and look forward to next year to share with them that “silly rabbit…Easter is for Jesus”
