A fun-filled, family-friendly Kids Safe Day event was held on Saturday, April 29th at the Sanborn Fire Station. The event was free to the public. Local fire fighters, EMTs and police officers were on hand to tour fire trucks, the ambulance and police vehicles. The helicopter from Sanford-Med was on hand for kids to tour. The event was cold, windy and rainy there was plenty of fun activities for kids to do including inflatables, some firefighter games, kids meet local police officers, EMTs, fire fighters, medical personal, practiced emergency care, there was face painting, caricatures, balloon animals and so much more to do. The sun came out for a few moments so the kids could enjoy the inflatables. There was a yummy freewill hotdog and chips fundraising lunch served by the Firefighters. The event was sponsored by Family Health Chiropractic and put on by local emergency personnel. There was something for people of all ages there.
