Pictured was Russ Radloff operating the Municipal Light Plant equipment, digging holes for the free trees Saturday morning. The Town furnished 30 silver maple and oak trees 8-10 ft. tall to 19 residents who had lost trees on the parking last year to Dutch elm disease.
Around the Town – The Christian Reformed Church, which was built in 1911, is being torn down and will be replaced with a new structure this year. …Work is progressing on the new 300,000 gallon water storage facility for the town. …A 10,000 gallon underground storage tank is being installed at Kruger’s Standard Service.
Mrs. Olive Loafman and Mr. and Mrs. Wallace English returned home Sunday from a three-month trip in Eastern United States which covered 12,000 miles.
Kenny Kuyper will represent Sanborn at the 1973 session of Hawkeye American Legion Boys State June 2-8 at Camp Dodge.

The Sanborn Municipal Light Plant is investigating options for some new lighting on Main Street.
Donna Farrell, AAI CPSR has been named the Iowa Outstanding Customer Service Representative of the Year by the Certified Insurance Service Representatives and the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
Chad Anema and Rochelle Vander Werff made Profession of Faith Sunday morning during worship services at Cornerstone United Reformed church.
