The third summer seminar at Hospers PCA (200 Elm Street) will be Tuesday, July 18, 7:00 p.m. at the church. The subject is “The New Apostolic Reformation? A False Response.” The past few decades have witnessed the rise of a new move­ment among Protestants claiming the restoration of the offices of apostle and prophet to the church including new revelations, miracles, visions enabled by the activation of all believers. This movement goes well beyond the view and practices of ordinary charismatics and older Pentecostals. What lies behind their assertions, and why have these new groups gained a popular follow­ing? Most of all, are their claims biblical? Does the New Testament anticipate the rise of a “new apostolic reformation?” Pastor Brian Janssen’s multimedia presentation is open to all, with time for Q & A. All are welcome.
