Word was received Tuesday that Jerry Fritz will be returning to Sanborn Wednesday evening and will be on duty in his barbershop on Wednesday. He has been undergoing a series of treatments at the veterans hospital in Minneapolis.
An 80 acre improved farm belonging to the Edna Brundage estate was sold at auction Tuesday morning bringing $1050 per acre, probably a record price for land in this area.

Bill and Veda Bousema cordially invite you to an open house to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on July 11 from 2-4 p.m. at the Sanborn Christian Reformed Church.
The Sanborn Railroad Days Band will be playing at 6 p.m. July 25. Junior High, High School and Adult musicians are invited to join. Practice will be July 15 at the HMS school.
The annual Vander Velde picnic was held July 4 at the Don Kroese residence.

The Sanborn Railroad Days flower show will be held July 25 from 9-4 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church.
Amy Bootsma has been hired as a reserve officer for the Hartley Police Department….She is the daughter of the Doug Bootsmas.
