Fred Anema was the Parade Marshal for Railroad Days 2023. While stationed in Vietnam during the war, from August 1, 1968 to June 8, 1970, Fred served in the 25th Infantry Division and the 82nd Airborne Division, achieving the rank of E-6 Staff Sergeant. For his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantry Badge, among many others.
