With Spring scheduled to officially begin March 20, Winter left something for us to remember it by. The something came in the form of seven inches of snow in Sanborn on Sunday evening and into the early morning hours of Monday. The wet and heavy white stuff followed an inch-and-a-half of rain and was accompanied by high winds. A Winter Weather Warning was issued for O’Brien County and areas to the north. Schools were closed on Monday or conducted virtual learning days and people were busy making piles of snow to replace those that had melted away during the unseasonably warm weather earlier this month.
