Advent by Candlelight

On Sunday, December 3, a total of 44 people attended the Advent by Candlelight program at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sanborn. This year’s program was entitled “Mary’s Seasons of Life.”

The display in the church for “Mary’s Seasons of Life,” depicting the Angel telling Mary she would be a mother, Mary’s life as the mother of Jesus, and Mary grieving her Son’s death. The program told that the good news for Mary and us is that Jesus didn’t remain in the tomb but rose from the dead, filling our hearts with JOY. We are called to live joy-filled lives here on Earth until we are called to live with Him eternally.
