We were having a heat wave December 29 when the minimum temperature went down to only a 0 degree temperature.
Mr. Ross Vernon of Northern Iowa Telephone Company released information this week concerning a new structure to house the office and equipment in Sanborn…The structure will be approximately 70×70 feet at their present location.

Postmaster Garret Spykerman completed his final day of service here Friday evening into retirement. He served here from 1958-January 11, 1974…Orville Wiersma began that day as Officer in Charge.
