Bert Kuiper, John Anema, Greg Vogelaar,and Bob Anema, doing business as Sanborn Foods, Inc. have bought the HyTop Foods business in Hartley and will take over that operation on February 4.
Sanborn Savings Bank will be observing their 75th anniversary at open house on February 8. Coffee and cookies will be served from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Little Miss Bobbi Jeanne Pry was reported to the Pioneer as the First Baby of 1974 in the Sanborn area. Parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gene Pry.
At the Annual Dinner Meeting of the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce, Dorris Raymond was elected new Chamber president and Merle Albert as vice president.

The First Baby of 1999 for the Sanborn area is Dylan Scott, son of Lora Mercer and Scott Hanson.
Residents of the area are invited to join in the week-long observance of Sanborn Savings Bank 100 year anniversary. Open house will be held at the bank February 1 through February 5 from 9-4 each day.
The Mi’Ono Club and HMS Music Boosters have provided the funds for a new piano at the HMS Middle School.
