Linda Rozeboom drove to Omaha, NE Saturday and was an overnight guest of Paul and Shelly Rozeboom. Saturday they went to the home of Matthew and Emily Rozeboom to attend the second birthday anniversary for great-granddaughter Nora Rozeboom. On Sunday they watched great-granddaughter Braelyn Rozeboom play in the volleyball tournament. Linda returned home Sunday evening.
Jeane Van Veldhuizen and Harriet Van Veldhuizen attended the Memorial Service for Jeane’s brother, Gilbert Aberson held at the First Reformed Church in Orange City on Saturday morning. In the afternoon they visited Jeane’s cousin, Pete Aberson at Landsmeer Home and her nephew, Randy Cleveringa and her high school classmate, Gladys Eason at Prairie Ridge Care Center, all at Orange City.
Jim and Becky Suckow left Sunday, Jan. 21 to attend the funeral of her uncle, Bill Hakeman at Lafayette, LA which was held January 27. On the way they visited her cousin Kim Hakeman at Markeville, LA. They spent four days at Lafayette visiting her Aunt Ande Hakeman. On the 25th they drove to Kerrville, TX to visit her Uncle Tom and Aunt Candy Hakeman. They returned home Monday.
Steve and Anita Goetz of Fairbanks, AK arrived Sunday evening to visit in the Charlotte Dasen home. They will also spend time at Rochester, MN and will return home on February 18.
On Thursday Cindy McParland, Kathy Ginger, Margaret Larson and Carol Salazar traveled to Spencer to celebrate the birthday of Vivian Vanderbilt Arrdes, step-sister to Carol and Margaret. They enjoyed dinner at Sports Page and did some shopping. They enjoyed cake and ice cream at the home of Vivian. She opened her cards and gifts and all enjoyed a great visit.
Wade and Sherryl Tressler met friends Ruby Johns and Richard Brookes from Henderson, MN for lunch in Spencer on Saturday. They also did a little thrifting while there.
Sunday Brian and Becca Hakeman and daughters Zoey and Lily of Sioux Falls, brought dinner to enjoy with Sylvia Andringa.
