On Thursday a few classmates from Sanborn High School Class of 1969 got together at Jay’s Restaurant & Lounge. Those able to attend were Mary Ann Grooters, Carol Salazar, Cindy McParland, Barb Pry, Sandi Kleve and Lana Anderson. They enjoyed Happy Hour and supper. They reported a great time and fun get-together.
The Crazy Eight Card Club met Friday at Jay’s Restaurant for lunch and cards. Ardis Dummett had high score, Ronda Pry was second and Linda Rozeboom was low.
Girls from the Sanborn High School Class of 1963 met at Jay’s Restaurant & Lounge last week Tuesday for lunch. Attending were Gayle Vander Woude, Jacque Comstock. Arlene Frerichs of Lake Park, Judy McQueen of Archer, Andy Cardin of Sheldon, and Linda Rozeboom.
Saturday evening Chase and Amber Vermeer of Orange City hosted a birthday party for their son, Huckson who just turned four years old. It was held at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn. Many aunts, uncles, grandparents and cousins attended. They were all impressed with the food and amenities.
Saturday morning Nancy Iverson was among guests at a bridal shower held for Kaelee Letche at Peace Lutheran Church in Marcus. It was hosted by her aunts. Kaelee will become the bride of Caleb Hanson.
Lindy Buren spent the weekend with her niece, Meloni Menglesen, James, and great-nephew Derrick of Spencer.
Shane and Lanea Elgersma of Otsega, MN spent the weekend in the Keith and Nancy Iverson home, coming for the bridal shower for Kaelee Letche.
Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids came Monday to spend some time with his mother, Charlotte Dasen.
Harriet Van Veldhuizen attended the Memorial Service held for her cousin, Robert Blankers at the Presbyterian Church in Hospers on Saturday afternoon. He grew up at Archer and now lived at Owatonna, MN.
Last Wednesday evening Tami Klien of Spirit Lake and her daughter, Cadence came to visit her grandmother, Sylvia Andringa. Cadence was home from college.
Last Friday Gertrude Abels of Sibley came to visit her sister, Sylvia Andringa.
