Hank and Mary Iedema attended the baptism of their great-grandson, Griffin William Gaunt. The service was held at the First Presbyterian Church in Edgerton, MN. After the service, a lunch was served at the church in his honor. They also celebrated the fourth birthday of their great-granddaughter, Auburn Gaunt and the birthday of Chad Gaunt, Auburn and Griffin’s dad. In the evening they were invited for supper in the home of Alisa and Rick Stanton in Sibley. Also invited were their grandson, Zak Stanton and his friend, Emma, and Tucker Boone and his son, Arrow, a great-grandson of the Idemas. They stated that this was a very special day when they get to spend time with their kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
Kim and Ryker Eliker of Lincoln, NE visited in the Randy and Candice Lyman home and to attend the Safe Kids Day at the Sanborn Fire Station Saturday. Morgan Lyman and friend Tanner came Saturday and Jayden Lyman came for the weekend. They also came to visit their mother, Rhonda Lyman after her surgery.
The ancestors of Ross and Amy Raymond met for a reunion Saturday held at St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church. They were together from 11:00 a.m. until around 7:30 p.m. eating, talking, and enjoying the day. There were around 20 in attendance. Attending from Sanborn were Ray Huibregtse and Debbie Raymond (Rex was in a bowling tournament in Sioux Falls). Scott Petrich came from Colorado and Roccy Raymond came from Wisconsin, both coming the longest distance.
Last Thursday Carol Salazar and her sister, Margaret Larson of Worthington, MN visited their brother, Randy Brounko at Prairie View. They took pizza and enjoyed dinner with him.
Debbie Raymond attended the baptism Saturday at Sioux Falls for her great-nephew, Theo McBeth, grandson of Debbie’s youngest brother.
Jeff Dasen of Scottsdale, AZ arrived last week Tuesday and Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids arrived Friday to spend time in the home of their mother, Charlotte Dasen. On Sunday Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden was an additional dinner guest.
Friday evening Jim and Becky Suckow took Pastor Joseph and Carrie Bangert out for supper.
Last week Thursday Dave and Stacy Van Tol of Tea, SD visited his parents, Lee and Susie Van Tol. Mike and Judy Visser joined them for lunch at the Country Club.
Tim and Beth Carlson of Cedar Rapids came Saturday especially to attend the Raymond Family Reunion held at the Methodist Church. They also visited Tim’s mother, Donna Fell at the Prairie View Manor. They returned home on Sunday.
On Sunday Lee and Susie Van Tol were Sunday dinner guests in the Justin and Mandy Hoekstra home at Hull. Additonal guests from Sanborn were Mike and Judy Visser and Gertie Visser. They helped the Van Tols’ great-granddaughter, Emrie, celebrate her ninth birthday anniversary.
Shawn and CJ Schroeder were Sunday night visitors in the Jim and Becky Suckow home.
