On May 18 Jose and Carol Salazar drove to Fremont, NE to attend the graduation party for Elayna Urbanec on Saturday. That Sunday they attended the graduation of their granddaughter Ava Ten Kley. They were also able to attend Ady’s and Claire’s (Ten Kley) dance recitals on Sunday. They returned home that Monday and Claire came with them to spend time with her grandparents. Jeremy and Christy Ten Kley came this past Sunday to visit in the Salazar home and Claire returned home with them on Monday.
Last Saturday Jeff Dasen and Dr. Katerina Dasen, Sebastian and Rose Dasen of Scottsdale, AZ arrived to visit in the parental Charlotte Dasen home. Additional guests on Sunday for a pre-Memorial Day picnic were Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids, Emily Dasen of Kalamazoo, MI, Annie Kubic and Grant of Urbandale, Drew and Theresa Zafft, Hannah and Connor of Hayfield, MN, and Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden. The Zaffts returned home on Monday. Jim remained for a longer visit.
Bryce Rozeboom of Vermillion, SD spent the weekend with his grandmother, Linda Rozeboom. He came Saturday and returned home on Monday.
Barb Pry had the pleasure of having three granddaughters graduate this spring. On May 1 Addie Pry, daughter of Tom Pry and Kristin Pry, graduated from Southeastern College at Burlington with a nursing degree. On the same day Avarie Honkomp, daughter of Tim and Bobbi Honkomp of Primghar, graduated from Kansas University, achieving a Bachelor degree in Agriculture. She will continue in the master’s program in architecture. (Rock Chalk Jayhawk). On May 18 Elayna Urbanec, daughter of Sally and Matt Urbanec of Bennington, NE, graduated from Bennington High School. She will pursue her education at Southeast Technical in Lincoln, NE on a gulf scholarship to study welding. Barb reports that she’s one proud grandmother!
