Kruger’s Standard is having a closing out sale through Thursday, June 6. Dick Kruger has operated the Standard Station on Highway 18 for the past seven years. He has accepted the position of agency manager for the Sioux City Journal.
One of the first projects of the recently organized Jaycees will be the filling up sandboxes on June 15.
The church bell tolled once again for Sunday morning worship services at St. John’s Lutheran Church. It has been installed in the newly constructed bell tower.

Boys State Track qualifiers for HMS included Nick Postma, Shane Elgersma, Ryan Strubbe, Kyle Vogt, Travis Johnson and Abdikani Abdullahi.
The U.S. Achievement Academy announced that Mary Ellyn McCarty of Sanborn has been named an All American Scholar.
