Mr. Kenneth Zorgdrager was ordained a Minister of the Word in a special service held at First Reformed Church here Tuesday evening…Mr. Zorgdrager has accepted a contract assignment to continue as Chaplain for the Zealand Classis & Particular Synod of Michigan of Reformed Church of America, Allendale, MI.
About 25 ladies attended the Newcomers Coffee in the City Park Thursday evening, hosted by The Chamber of Commerce.
Judy Zevenbergen, representing O’Brien County in the District I Pork Queen Contest, was named queen at Wednesday night’s Pork Producers Banquet at Cherokee Country Club.

The Vacation Bible School held recently at the First Reformed Church, presented a check for $1000 to the Sanborn Public Library as their mission project.
A reception for Eric Rozeboom, Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Iowa, was held June 5 at Onyx Lodge #419 A.F. & A.M. in Sanborn.
A group from Cornerstone United Reformed Church was involved in a mission project in Port Gibson, MS June18-26.
A new awning is being added to the Sanborn Foods building on Main Street.
