The plan worked! The weather was nice. People stayed healthy. Travel was safe. Air flights were on time. The Joanne Andersen family – Christmas in July – was held in Des Moines on Saturday. Peter, Ornuma and Isabela from Isanti, MN joined Joanne from Sanborn, and April and Rowan from Iowa City at the home of Joanne’s daughter, Pamela and husband Chris. Athena, Wade and Gavin drove down from Sioux Falls, SD. Granddaughter Courtney and husband Rhett flew in from Denver, CO. The delicious grilled meal was followed by games like pickle ball and bocce ball at a city business. Extended family, Joanne’s brother, Henry and wife Barb, and niece April Ann and her kids, Casy and Lily joined the group at the game site. Everyone got the chance to learn some games.
