The surviving children of OB (Dad) and Kathryn Snyder and their families held their annual July family reunion at the Pelican Ridge Club House in Okoboji on July 12th. Many states were represented, including California, Nevada, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, South Dakota, and of course Iowa.
Breakfast was served on the 12th and 13th and a catered meal was enjoyed the evening of the 12th. Many delicious snacks were also consumed. This was the 42nd annual reunion and has been held in many different states over the years as the children take turns hosting it. This year it was hosted by the Rohrs Family: Jack and Mary Snyder-Rohrs from Henderson, NV, and their children, Jennifer & DJ Ellis and Ryan Rohrs. Also hosting were the children of the late Ray and Donna Snyder-Murray: Tom and Cindy Murray, Kay Murray Phillips and husband Darren all of Des Moines, and Ron Murray of Suamico, WI.
The numbers were down a little this year as there were only about 75 in attendance. There are usually around 100 or more in attendance. DJ Ellis, who is a professional photographer in Fresno, CA took some great pictures for the families in attendance. All were not present when the pictures were taken so the group picture does not include all who were in attendance.
