Four Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Middle School Band members were selected to the 2020-21 NWIBA MS/JH Honor Band through video auditions earlier this school year. On May 8th, these students will go to Sibley-Ocheyedan to practice and perform with students from numerous Northwest Iowa schools. They will rehearse during the day and their concert will be at 5:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the concert will be limited to four audience members per student.
HMS MS band director, Miss Nelson, commented, “I’m so proud of these students for their excellent work! And, I’m glad the Honor Band committee chose to wait until the end of the school year so we can at least have the honor band and give all the kids this experience!”
