Sarah Goetz, Stevie Goetz and Sara Mustard of Fairbanks, AK arrived Thursday to visit in the Charlotte Dasen home. Sarah returned home again on Tuesday.
Mark Noll was a Friday and overnight guest in the Charlotte Dasen home. Mark and wife, Connie stopped the next day for few minutes before returning home to Iowa Falls.
Amy Ingram, Parker and Charlotte of Fairbanks, AK arrived last week Thursday for a visit in the Charlotte Dasen home. Jeff Dasen of Phoenix, AZ arrived last week Monday to spend time with his mother. David Ingram and Ryan Horstman also of Fairbanks arrived last Saturday. Cathy Gray of Rochester, MN, Theresa Zafft, Hannah and Conner of Hayfield, MN arrived Friday and were overnight guests in the Dasen home. Jim Dasen of Cedar Rapids visited in the home of his mother from Saturday to Sunday evening. Stevie Goetz and Sara Mustard who had been visiting here, returned home on Sunday.
Family and friends of Charlotte Dasen were BBQ guests in their home after the Sanborn parade on Saturday. Besides their house guests they included the Jose Salazars, Charlie and Marilyn Schroeck and grandson Jace of Arnolds Park, Margaret Larson of Worthington, MN, Kalie Christianson of Eagle Bend, MN, Peggy Sterler of Dallas, TX, Jess Horstman of Florida, Scott Chrisman, Linda Rozeboom, and Esther D’Agrosa of Boyden. Bob Ellett and sons of Iowa City visited later in the day.
Marjean Swann of Los Alamitos, CA was a house guest in the Larry and Fran Peelen home the past two weeks. The three attended the Peelens’ grandson’s wedding in Ames. Chris Meyer and Jen Buehler were united in marriage in the United Christian Methodist Church in Ames July 17. Larry, Fran and Marjean visited their Aunt Leone Vander Woude in Coralville on July 18. Stan and Alama Vander Woude and Steve and Barbara Vander Woude were also visiting their mother. They all enjoyed renewing acquaintances.
Jim and Becky Suckow visited from Thurs., July 23 to Tues., July 27 in the home of their son, Andrew Suckow at West Des Moines.
Sylvia Andringa enjoyed lunch with relatives in Sheldon last week Tuesday. They included her sisters, Tracy Kuipers of Tracy, MN and Gertrude Abels of Sibley. They were joined by Lorraine Edwards of Bigelow, MN and Loretta Boender of Ashton.
Marie Maranell of Carlisle visited her mother, Wanda Schuver over the weekend. She attended her 50th class reunion while here and left for home on Monday.
Kim and Scott Weihe, Coy, Calan and Corwin of Omaha, NE spent a few days in Sanborn visiting their grandparents, Henri and Ray Schnurr and Linda Rozeboom.
Danielle Rozeboom of Sioux Falls spent a few days last week with Grandmother Linda Rozeboom.
Marie Maranell of Carlisle and her mother, Wanda Schuver visited Linda Rozeboom on Sunday evening.
Railroad Days guests of Connie Ginger were Pam Prine, Tammy Ginger, Cristy Ginger and Heather, Haley Malenke, Tommy Ginger and Carter. Former neighbors Kristi Hussman and Joe Van Veldhuizen joined them to watch the parade and had a nice visit.
Last Friday afternoon Robert Vande Hoef of Orange City visited his sister, Corky Camarigg.
Allen and Linda Buren of Burlington visited Sally Knowlton on Saturday. Sunday guests were David Amundson and Janie Slade of Canton, SD, and Melinda Larson of Sioux Falls, SD.
Harriet Van Veldhuizen enjoyed visting with Marjean Swann in the Larry and Fran Peelen home. Gayle Vander Woude spent an afternoon visiting with Marjean and with Ed and Jane Stannard in the Peelen home. Jane, Larry and Marjean are cousins. Marjean, Larry and Fran joined Marywynn Vander Woude, David Peelen and Lyle Peelen at an Okoboji restaurant for an evening of visiting. Marjean was able to renew many acquaintances while visiting in Sanborn. Marjean returned home to Los Alamitos, CA on Monday July 26.
On July 25th friends Kathy Ginger, Carol Salazar, Cindy Mc Parlund, and Susan Leth traveled to Sioux City to the Hard Rock Casino to spend the evening and enjoyed shopping. They all returned home Monday afternoon. A fun time for all.
