A Ribbon Cutting was held Monday at the new Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Middle School building in Sanborn. HMS Board of Education President Scott Heetland had the honor of cutting the ribbon. He was joined by, from left, HMS Superintendent Patrick Carlin, and School Board members Chad Lyman, Scott Vollink, Dave Vanderbroek and Ryan Haack. After more photos were snapped, the invited guests were welcomed to take one of several guided tours of the new facility and enjoy refreshments. The first day of school at HMS is Monday, August 23.
