Michael Allen Brown enlisted in the U.S. Navy September 28 and is taking his training at the U.S. Naval Training Center at San Diego, CA.
Army Pvt. 1st Class Michael C. Swalley recently completed eight weeks of Advanced Training at Ft. Lewis, WA.
Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Miller have returned home from the lakes where they operated their cottages this summer.
Sat., October 2, the Ralph Dasens attended a Centennial celebration commemorating the 100th anniversary of the homesteading of her great-grandfather, C.H. Winter north of Boyden.

Pastor Ken Carlson and wife Carolyn have recently moved here from Odessa, MO to lead the Grace Evangelical Church in Sanborn.
The Annual Tea of Prairie View Auxiliary was held September 23 at Prairie View.
Dale Fransson has just recently moved here after having been called to Pastor First Presbyterian Church in Sanborn.
The National Pumpkin Weigh Off will be held October 5 in the City Park shelter house.
Six women from Grace Evangelical Free Church of Sanborn attended the Fall Women’s Retreat held at Hidden Acres, Dayton on September 27 and 28. They were Chris Van Meeteren, Sallee Van Meeteren, Shirley Smith, Joy Smith, from Sanborn and Arlene Walker and Carolyn Carlson of Hartley.
