Last Friday the weather provided a glimpse of things to come with an inch of snow (the first measurable snowfall of the season) that was blown around by gusty west-northwest winds. Crews were treating the roads which had become slippery due to the blowing snow. For many residents the heads-up came a bit too early, with winter not scheduled to officially arrive until December 21.
