Two HMS Middle School teams placed at the 2021 Middle School State Bowling Championship held in Ames, Iowa at Perfect Games on April 17th.
Placing 2nd in the Boys Team division was Dominic Tripp, Braden Niichel, Mykle Meyers, and Parker Russell with a team score of 1,407 pins.  
Taking 1st in the Coed Team division was Eli Mastbergen, Kaidence Shaffer, Mahkenzie Mattingly, and Jack Mastbergen with a team score of 1,578 pins.
Middle School bowling is an 8-week program in March & April where these kids practice a couple nights a week at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn and compete in local middle school competitions in the area.  These kids are coached by Bert Van Dam, Eric Mastbergen, and Todd Venenga. Middle School bowling season is set to kick off again March 1, 2022.
