Nick Bronstad captured first place at 285 pounds. He pinned Broodie Lawson of Lake Mills, Forest City’s Caleb Cooper and Joseph Sanders of Pocahontas Area. The 1st Place Match saw Bronstad win a convincing 10-1 major decision over Emmetsburg’s Gage Jorgenson.
There were three additional HMS athletes wrestling at the Invite. Bryce Dodge finished fourth at 170 pounds as did James Gellerman at 182. Ethan Wiersma was a sixth-place finisher at 195.
