Sanborn Housing, Inc. held open house January 8 at the Senior Citizen’s Apartments located on Main Street. Approximately 400 people enjoyed coffee and cookies and a guided tour.
Announcement was made this week that the Sanborn Telephone Company was taken over by Ross Vernon as of January 1.
The Sanborn Pioneer has been sold to John E. van der Linden of Sibley. The announcement was made by James A. Wilson, publisher of the local paper since 1952.
Little Miss Julie Rae Davis, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Davis, has the honor of being the First Baby of 1972 in the Sanborn area.

The Traveling Plaque was presented to Elgersma Agency for first place in the Christmas Lighting Contest business category. The contest is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce.
