Wade and Sherryl Tressler returned home Sunday from their Texas vacation. On Saturday they went to Canyon Lake, TX to visit Steve Huibregtse to see the house that Steve is building.
The 500 Card Club met at Jay’s Restaurant Friday for lunch and cards. Ronda Pry was hostess. High score was a tie between Ardis Dummett and Ronda Pry. Ruth Klever was low.
Last week Wednesday Lindy Buren spent the day with her sister, Ginger Kerr at Spencer. Ginger had just returned home after being a patient at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls. Also present were her nieces Meloni Mengleson of Spencer and Kari Sindt and Mallory of Everly. They all spent the afternoon cleaning and running errands for Ginger. Coffee and cupcakes were enjoyed as they caught up on family news.
Last week Saturday Lindy Buren attended a brunch at the American Cafe in Spencer. In attendance were her sister, Ginger Kerr, nieces Meloni Mengleson of Spencer, Kari and Cindy of Everly and their twin sisters, Samantha Cooper of Altoona and Jacqueline Harmelink and husband Eric of the Quad Cities. Lindy also enjoyed a chat with Ivan Van Veldhuizen and Lu Anne Ginger of Sanborn who also happened to be in the cafe.
Deb and Rob Templeman of Cincinnati, OH spent from Tuesday to Sunday of last week in the parental Jackie Van Engen home. They came to help Jackie celebrate her 90th birthday anniversary which was Sunday. Cake was served after the worship service at church and later Deb and Rob hosted a catered dinner at the Community Center in Sanborn. Relatives in attendance were from Sanborn, Sheldon, Primghar, Des Moines, Ankeny, Cummins, Orange City and Sioux City, Iowa and Sherburn, MN and Harrisburg, SD. Everyone enjoyed good food and lots of visiting and fellowship. Deb and Rob returned to their home on Monday.
Corky Camarigg was a dinner guest Saturday night of Mark and Denise Bohnet in their home at Sheldon.
Ed and Jolene Greving of Estherville visited her mother, Sylvia Andringa on Sunday.
Saturday night supper guests in the Jack and Carol Elgersma home were Don Hakeman, Becky and Jim Suckow, and Maci, Jack and Kennedy Wright.
Don Hakeman was a Sunday dinner guest in the Jim and Becky Suckow home.
