Remember when…
FIFTY YEARS AGO
Thursday, January 27, 1972
The weather was making headlines again Monday in northwest Iowa as an early morning freezing rain turned into a grand skating rink. This was followed by snow and about mid morning a strong wind began to whip up and churn the white stuff into a no visibility rating as temperatures were on the way down, and down and down to a low of around -20 degrees by Tuesday morning.
Tom Endorf has announced that the Pike Cafe & Lounge will be opening days as well as evenings on Tues., February 1.
