Hello everyone! Hope all is well with you and your blessings. February blew by fast as always and March came in like a lamb. Guess if the ole wives’ tail is true we know that March 31st will be a bit of a blusterous day. It’s that time again for me to keep you abreast of all the Sanborn Chamber and its members’ events and opportunities.
Iowa State Bank is once again holding their March Madness Bracket Challenge. Interested individuals need to stop in the Sanborn branch and pick up a bracket starting March 14th. Once they have completed the bracket (I personally go by which team has the prettiest school colors) they will need to return it on or before March 17th before 10:00 a.m. to be eligible for prizes. Third place is a $25 Mastercard gift card, 2nd place a $50 Mastercard gift card and the GRAND prize is $100 Mastercard gift card! They also invite you to come in and watch the tournament games with them while enjoying refreshments. Free…snacks…prizes… no skills, just luck…sounds like a no brainer to me!
We are excited to announce a new spring event for all you Sanbornettes going by the name of “Winter Succs!”. All the details are getting worked out as we speak, but I can tell you it will occur in April, involve succulents, vendors and lots of fun! We are currently looking for vendors to participate in this event. If you are interested please contact us at sanbornchamber@gmail.com. Otherwise be on the lookout for more details to come soon.
Before we know it spring will arrive, then the dog days of summer. With summer comes Sanborn’s annual Railroad Days celebration. Scheduled for July 22nd, 23rd and 24th this year, we have already started setting a calendar of events but have lots of opportunities for any groups or businesses out there and are open to ideas anyone has. Just drop us a note at sanbornchamber@gmail.com or grab one of us board members and tug at our ear.
