Busy Spring for Western Christian FFA
These past few weeks have been very busy for Western Christian’s FFA. They’ve hosted FFA week and participated in sub-districts at Central Lyon and districts at Pocahontas as well as planted in the greenhouse.
February 22-25 was National FFA Week. Tuesday of that week a chapel was planned but it was postponed until the next week due to weather. Wednesday was a busy day for the school’s FFA as they hosted their first ever Career Day. Around 20 agricultural businesses were invited to the Western Christian campus to talk to students about different potential careers. This was a huge success and good feedback was received from the surrounding community as well as students. On Thursday, the FFA traveled to Central Lyon to compete in sub-districts. Friday the officer team planned Ag Olympics. In this event the school voted two from each class to compete in Mystery Box, Ag Trivia, and barrel racing.
