New Postmaster on duty at Sanborn

Christina Maria Ortega is the new Postmaster at the Sanborn Post Office. Her first day on the job was March 12 and she says she already feels very at home here.
“Yes, everyone I have met is so open and very trusting,” noted Ortega. “I have already met many people and, without ever having met them before, they offer help or advice.”
The new Postmaster began her Postal Service work in Idyllwild, CA where she served as a PTF Clerk from 2015 to 2018. She took a job in Estherville as an SCS (Supervisor Customer Service) in 2018 and then it was on to Sanborn.
Ortega makes her home in Sanborn. Her family includes Haniel Ortega, Samantha Ortega (5), and Jordan Thorn (18).
The new face in the building is indebted to ones more familiar to Sanborn residents. Said Ortega, “I would like to give a huge thank you to the ladies that work here with me: Shanda Wolthuizen, Anna Hibbing and Heather Dillingham. They are helping me as I learn who all the people are in town.”
Ortega encourages people to stop by and support their local Post Office. “We are always here to help you with any postal questions and concerns,” reminded Ortega.
