The Sanborn Telephone Company has announced that beginning April 9 all subscribers can dial direct station-to-station long distance calls…Instructions for direct dialing were sent out to subscribers with the monthly billing.

Work has begun on installation of underground duct for three feeders circuits leaving the Sanborn Municipal Light Plant to various stations of town…all part of the general conversion program.
Daryle and Fern McGranahan will be hosting open house April 14 and 15 in their newly renovated shop, Daryle’s Decorating Center at 212 E 3rd Street.

The Grace Evangelical Free Church is now holding worship services and Thursday Evening Bible Study at their building at 210 Main Street in Sanborn. The building dedication will take place at a later date.
The Annual Easter Egg Hunt was sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce last Saturday at the City Park.
The votes were counted March 31 and members approved the merger of Sanborn Cooperative Grain Co. of Sanborn and Melvin, Farmers Cooperative of Boyden and Ritter Farmers Cooperative Elevator Company into a new company called Siouxland Farmers Cooperative effective August 1 of this year.
