The free seminar, Welcome to Medicare, is being planned for Wednesday, June 15. The seminar is being offered by the State of Iowa’s Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP), MercyOne Primghar and NCC. It will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the campus of Northwest Iowa Community College, 603 West Park St., Sheldon, in Room 116A.
Information to be covered includes how to enroll and how to decline enrollment if working past age 65, Medicare Parts A & B benefits, Prescription Drug benefits (Part D), Medicare Advantage Plans, Medicare Supplement Insurance, and identifying Medicare fraud, errors and abuse.
