Lindy Buren and her brother, Harry of Crossville, TN recently attended the memorial service for their cousin, Wayne Stonewall of Florida. The service was held at the Lodge at Gull Point State Park. Wayne lived at Okoboji during his high school years and the highlight of videos shown were of him skiing. He was known at the Lakes for his ability to ski barefoot. Many Florida family members were present and also from Iowa were his cousins Dixie from Pocahontas and Dick Wildeman from Des Moines.
Kim and Ryker Eliker came last week Tuesday to visit in the Randy and Candice Lyman home. Kim returned home Friday and Ryker stayed until Sunday. They came especially to help Candice celebrate her birthday last Thursday. Chad Lymans joined them to go out for supper. Cake and ice cream were enjoyed at their home after supper.
The Wade Tresslers had visitors at their camper at Douma Park: Wade’s sister and husband, Wanda and Bob Garbisch from Wisconsin and his brother, Tom from Ohio They were here to attend class reunions at Paullina. On Sunday they all went to Brewster, MN where Anita Tressler provided a great meal.
Jim and Becky Suckow visited their daughter Amy at Eden Prairie, MN from Friday to Sunday.
Linda Rozeboom drove to Hooper, NE Saturday to attend an open house retirement party in honor of her nephew, Matt Schott. Matt retired after 27 years Chief of Police at Hooper.
Jerry and Cathy Gray of Rochester, MN and Theresa Zafft, Hannah and Conner of Hayfield, MN came last week Monday and were overnight guests of Charlotte Dasen. On Tuesday they picked up a puppy the Zaffts had purchased at Rock Valley. They stopped off on their return home to show “Zoey” to Great-grandma Charlotte and had lunch with her before returning home.
