Word was received of the death of William (Bill) Funke of Fort Collins, CO. He died October 11 at the age of 97. Bill is the grandfather of Caleb Funke of Primghar and the father of Rev. Kenneth Funke, former pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sanborn. Bill was a lifelong music educator in the state of Colorado. He and his wife Lola would have celebrated 72 years of marriage on October 22. Funeral services were held October 19 at Saint John’s Lutheran Church of Fort Collins. Interment was at Haxtun Cemetery, Haxtun, CO. Goes Funeral Care of Fort Collins is in charge of arrangements.
