The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn bowlers got their season rolling December 6 with an Invitational held at Spencer Bowl in Spencer. MMCRU was the big winner, capturing both the girls and boys competitions. HMS finished second in both.
The girls team totals showed MMCRU with a score of 2334 and the Hawks at 1632. For the boys it was the Royals with 2798 and HMS rolling a 2408.
Jordan Lux led the Hawk girls with a two-game total of 290. Meghan Larson was next with 214 total, followed by Destiny Olvera with 185, Annika Overmire with 184, Keyann Brower with 162 and Lexi Croatt with 153.
Drew Prins’ two lines resulted in a team-high 355. Riley Russell bowled a 332, Jack Mastbergen a 328, Skyler Shaffer a 309, Marcus Aaron a 303 and Dawson Niichel a 302.
