The Sanborn Bulldog football squad was honored at a special dinner party at the O.K. Rec Tuesday evening. Thirty-six boys with appetites befitting football players, and Coaches Don Noll and Nordgaard did away with 30 pounds of hamburger.
The Community Calendars being printed by the Sanborn Pioneer will be ready for distribution December 29…Sanborn Boy Scout Troop #156 will be handling the distribution of the calendars.
This was the Christmas Greeting issue with businesses wishing their customers a Merry Christmas.

New housing has been a big thing in Sanborn the past year. There have been new homes and apartment units. One of the biggest changes on Main Street is the transformation of the old post office building into apartments still under construction.
The First Baby of the Year Contest was featured in this issue with participating businesses offering gifts to the first baby.
This was the New Year’s Greeting issue of the Pioneer.

The Sanborn Community Choir performed the Carols of Christmas Sunday night in the Christian Reformed Church. Gerry Mouw directed the choir.
Ad: Uncle John’s Band New Year’s Eve 9 p.m. – 1 a.m. The O.K., Main Street. Party favors. No one under 21 after 8 p.m.
