Hawks finish up their meets by splitting with OABCIG
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn wrapped up the meets portion of its first bowling season by entertaining OABCIG February 7 at Locomotion Lanes in Sanborn. The HMS boys won with 2780 total pins compared to 2698 for the Falcons. The girls lost 1938 to 1758.
“We finished our season meets with a win at home where the boys had a tough competition, and pulled out a win!” said HMS head coach Julia Meyer. The girls fell short of the OABCIG girls team who are a seasoned team.”
For the Hawk boys, Riley Russell produced the high game of 223 and the high two-game total of 393. Jack Mastbergen produced a 212 game and a 389 total. The boys’ Baker games were 149, 203, 195, 155 and 212.
The high game for the HMS girls was a 161 bowled by Meghan Larson, who also turned in the high two-game total of 292. Jordan Lux rolled a 141 game and a 271 total. The Baker games for the girls were 126, 130, 94, 105 and 121.
