Leo Anderson has resigned as Chief of the Sanborn Fire Department after serving for 25 years.
David Glover and Michael Tinker left by bus Saturday for Kennedy International Airport, NY. From there they flew to Seville, Spain for 10 weeks training as teachers of Transcendental Meditation as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
The Board of Education of Sanborn Community Schools met for their regular meeting Monday evening…The board accepted the resignations of Mrs. Lois Wells, Mrs. Jane Conaway, Jeffrey Fredericks, and Claire Nerem….The Board approved an increase in the upper baseline to $7,000 for teachers with a B.A. Degree.
Sanborn Development, Inc. during the past year has acquired the land on Main Street for the location of a medical clinic. They also have purchased a lot across the street south from the old Catholic Church for the location of another five unit Senior Citizens apartments building identical to the Senior Citizens one on Main Street.

Faye Huibregtse will observe her 90th birthday on March 13. A card shower is requested.
Six of the Sanborn Community Churches are again celebrating Lent with Wednesday noon luncheons from 12 noon to 1 p.m.
The Farm & Home Show drew a large number of people Saturday. It was sponsored by the Sanborn Chamber of Commerce.
